My name is Philippe Poivre. I am a self taught photographer based in the lovely city of Paris, France. My first encounter with “visual feeling” goes back to my childhood. I was 8 and it all started with writing. At that time I quickly realized that all the feelings I was conveying in my poems were coming to me in pictures like scenes in a silent movie. This awareness will guide me thru all my life. I’ve worked in many different fields and all are related to communication and media (Cinema, Television, Advertising, IT, Publishing, etc.)
At 40, I decided to quit everything I have done in the past to reorient my career and explore the art of Photography that I had the chance to experience when I was 14. Today I’m 45 and I can say that “I love what I do what I Love”. I work on a regular basis with magazines (Balthazar, Bakthazar World, Les Dossiers de L’Entreprise), advertising and clients for private events, portraits and special assignments.
